Registries Stakeholder Group (RySG)

What is the the Registries Stakeholder Group (RySG)?

The Registries Stakeholder Group (RySG) is a major constituency within ICANN’s Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO). It represents operators of generic top-level domains (gTLDs), such as Verisign (.COM, .NET), Identity Digital (.INFO), and many new gTLD operators. Formed in the early 2000s, the RySG defends the interests of registry operators, focusing on domain management, DNS security, contractual relations with ICANN, and policy development affecting the operation of top-level domains.

Its members include both legacy registries and newer gTLD providers, making it one of the most influential groups in ICANN's structure.
