NETmundial is an international conference on Internet governance held in April 2014 in São Paulo (Brazil), following the Snowden Scandal. Organised by the Brazilian government and CGI.br, it brought together various global stakeholders to define common principles and strategic directions for Internet governance. The event produced the ‘NETmundial Multistakeholder Statement’, a document promoting open and inclusive management of the Internet.
