James Bladel is the Vice President of Global Policy at GoDaddy, responsible for representing the company in ICANN and ccTLD policy initiatives. He previously chaired ICANN’s GNSO Council and was one of the GNSO delegates to the IANA Coordination Group. Bladel currently serves on the Board of the dotME Registry for Montenegro and is an elected director at Nominet, the registry for .UK.
James Bladel is the Senior Policy Director at GoDaddy, the world’s largest domain registrar and web hosting provider. He represents GoDaddy’s interests within ICANN, ccTLD communities, and other industry and governance organizations. James currently serves as the North American Registrars' representative on the GNSO Council and is a member of the IANA Stewardship Coordinating Group. His previous roles include participation in the WHOIS Review Team, the Accountability and Transparency Review Team, the U.S. delegation to WCIT-12 in Dubai, and various ICANN working groups. He also sits on the boards of the dotME Registry (Montenegro) and the Center for Safe Internet Pharmacies (CSIP), and is part of the U.S. delegation to the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference (PP-14).
