What is OFCOM ?

The Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM) is the Swiss authority in charge of telecommunications and broadcasting regulation, created in 1992. It oversees spectrum management, postal services, radio and television licensing, and national communications policy. OFCOM is also responsible for the regulatory framework of domain names under .CH and .SWISS, managed by Switch, supervising their allocation and ensuring compliance with Swiss law.
