The public British group Team Internet (formerly CentralNic) is one of the most diversified players in the sector, notably holding a leading position in the backend activity for registries. It owns numerous registrars such as Key-Systems, 1api, Brandshelter, InternetBs, and Moniker. Its presence extends globally, with the company acquiring registrars and registries wherever opportunities have arisen since 2013.
The French low-cost web hosting company OVHcloud is also the number one registrar in France, and a major player in Europe. It offers competitive deals from webmasters to large multinationals.
REG is the main registrar in Russia, with an almost exclusive specialization in this market, which is sufficient to make it one of the European major players.
Formerly known as Dada and a member of Team.blue, Register is an Italian company present in several Western European countries, mainly through the brands Register, Amen, and Nominalia.
Among other major players in Europe are the French registrar Gandi (Your.online Group), the English subsidiary of GoDaddy,123 Reg, and the German reseller Key-Systems (Team Internet group), a B2B player little known by the public.
