The Africa Internet Summit (AIS) is an annual regional multi-stakeholder ICT conference that brings together Africa's ICT business and technical community. Launched in The Gambia in 2012, the Summit consists of seminars, workshops, tutorials, conference sessions, birds-of-a-feather (BOFs), and other forums for sharing ICT knowledge within the African region.
The event is organized by the African Network Information Centre (AFRINIC) in collaboration with the Africa Network Operators Group (AfNOG).
Its primary objective is to provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss and benchmark issues on Internet policy, Internet governance, ICT for development, and Internet access, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among various sectors, including academia, public and private organizations, technical communities, governmental institutions, and civil society.
