Ira Magaziner is an American policy advisor who played a central role in shaping early U.S. internet policy. As a senior advisor to President Bill Clinton, he led the development of the 1998 "Framework for Global Electronic Commerce" and was a key architect behind the creation of ICANN, aiming to transition internet domain management from government to private, global oversight.
