Who is Theresa Swinehart?
Theresa Swinehart is the Senior Vice President of Global Domains and Strategy at ICANN, where she oversees policy implementation and strategic initiatives such as Universal Acceptance and Internationalized Domain Names. With nearly 20 years of experience at ICANN, she plays a key role in multistakeholder processes and policy development.
Theresa Swineheart previously served as Executive Director of Global Internet Policy at Verizon, specializing in emerging issues and policy engagement. She also held leadership roles at MCI and ICANN. Theresa Swineheart holds degrees in international relations, international studies, and law, and has served on the boards of the Internet Society and the Internet Governance Forum. Fluent in German and conversant in French, she has a background in international human rights.
