The RIPE NCC is a regional IP address registry for Europe and the former Soviet Republics of Central Asia. It brings together network operators and Internet service providers.
RIPE NCC is the Regional Internet Registry for Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Central Asia. Based in the Netherlands, its primary role is to allocate and manage IP addresses and internet resources to ISPs and various organizations within its region.
The full form of RIPE NCC is Réseaux IP Européens Network Coordination Centre.
RIPE NCC operates one of the 13 global DNS root servers (the K-root server).
