The American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) is the Regional Internet Registry for North America, founded in 1997. It manages the distribution of IP addresses and Autonomous System Numbers.
Other Regional Internet Registries are ARIN for North America, RIPE NCC for Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Central Asia, APNIC for the Asia-Pacific region, LACNIC for Latin America and the Caribbean, and AFRINIC for Africa.
