Registrar Stakeholder Group (RrSG)

What is the Registrar Stakeholder Group (RrSG)?

The Registrar Stakeholder Group (RrSG) is one of the main constituencies within ICANN’s Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO). It was formed in the early 2000s to organize and represent ICANN-accredited domain name registrars.

The RrSG advocates for the interests of registrars in ICANN’s policy development processes, particularly on issues related to domain registration, transfer, data privacy, and contractual compliance.

Its members include hundreds of registrars worldwide, from major companies like GoDaddy and Namecheap to smaller regional providers. The RrSG plays a key role in negotiating policies that directly affect the domain name industry and millions of domain name holders globally.
