RoTLD (Romanian Top-Level Domain)

What is RoTLD?

RoTLD (Romanian Top-Level Domain) is Romania’s official registry for the .RO top-level domain, established in 1993 and managed by the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest). It oversees second-level registrations like .ro and third-level domains such as .com.ro and .org.ro. Registrations are open to individuals and organizations worldwide, though certain subdomains may have specific eligibility requirements.

RoTLD also supports Romanian IDNs and maintains DNS infrastructure for the .ro namespace.
