Restena Foundation is Luxembourg’s national research and education network (NREN), established in 2000 as a successor to a project that began in 1989. It manages internet infrastructure and services for institutions across education, research, culture, health, and administration. The foundation operates the .lu domain registry, handles internet exchange (LU-CIX), provides secure connectivity, email and hosting services, cyber-security coordination (CSIRT), and eduroam national operation.
