The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ is the national registry (administrator) of the .RU and .РФ domains
This organization also plays an important role in the development of Internet governance in Russia by contributing to policy-making related to the country’s digital infrastructure.
It collaborates with international entities such as ICANN and other registries to strengthen ties between Russia and the global Internet community. Additionally, the center actively promotes the use of Russian TLDs to affirm the country’s digital identity. Established in 2001, it holds a central position in the regulation of Russia’s digital space.
The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ organizes each year an event for Russian speaking countries registries: TLDCON.
For geopolitical reasons, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ is not a member of CENTR. Instead, it is affiliated with APTLD (Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association), which brings together ccTLD operators from the Asia-Pacific region.
