Domains Protected Marks List (DPML)

What is the Domains Protected Marks List (DPML) ?

The Domains Protected Marks List (DPML) is a domain blocking service launched by Identity Digital (formerly Donuts) in 2013. It enables trademark holders to prevent the registration of their exact-match trademarks across over 300 top-level domains (TLDs) managed by Identity Digital.

DPML and DMPL+

DPML+ extends this protection to include typographical variants and premium domains. Both services require a valid Signed Mark Data (SMD) file from the Trademark Clearinghouse. DPML offers centralized brand protection, allowing rights holders to block potential infringing domain registrations without the need to register each domain individually.
