JPNIC (Japan Network Information Center) is a non-profit organization responsible for managing Internet resources in Japan, including IP address allocation, Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs), and the .JP country code top-level domain (ccTLD), before these responsibilities were delegated to JPRS. It also serves as Japan's liaison to international Internet governance bodies and provides research, training, and public awareness on Internet infrastructure and policy.
