Louis Pouzin is a French computer scientist known for his foundational work in computer networking. In the 1970s, he developed the CYCLADES network, which introduced datagrams and the end-to-end principle, influencing the design of the Internet. His ideas also contributed to RINA (Recursive InterNetwork Architecture), a proposed alternative to the TCP/IP model. He later co-founded Open-Root, a company that provides independent domain name root systems outside traditional ICANN structures.
