Who is Lars Hoffmann?

Lars Hoffmann is a German national and serves as ICANN's Vice President for the New gTLD Program and Deputy Lead. He joined ICANN in 2013 and has since been involved in the GNSO, organizational reviews, and the development of new gTLDs. He took on the Deputy Lead role in November 2023. Before ICANN, Lars Hoffmann was an Assistant Professor of European Constitutional Law at the University of Maastricht. He holds a doctorate in International Relations from Oxford and an MSc in Political Economy from the London School of Economics.
