UZINFOCOM

What is UZINFOCOM?

uzinfo

UZINFOCOM is the official registry operator for Uzbekistan’s country-code top-level domain, .uz. Established in 1995, the .uz domain has been under UZINFOCOM's management since 2003.

Registrations are open to individuals and organizations worldwide. While there are no general restrictions, certain content types, such as gambling and adult material, are prohibited. Registrants must provide identification, and local companies are required to submit bank information.

Expired Auctions

Uzbekistan’s .UZ domain zone administration runs auctions for expired .UZ domain names through the domain.uzex.uz platform (also accessible as auction.cctld.uz), created in collaboration with the Uzbek Commodity Exchange, so any user can bid in what the registry presents as a transparent process. Typically, bidders place a deposit to participate, and the winning bidder must pay the remaining amount (winning bid minus deposit) within 5 business days; after payment, the winner obtains the right to use the domain and completes registration via one of the participating registrars, while non-winning bidders get their deposits returned within 5 business days.
