Founded in 2004 and based in the USA, M3AAWG (Messaging, Malware and Mobile Anti-Abuse Working Group) is a technology-neutral global industry association with over 200 members, including ISPs, cloud and hosting providers, email and communications services, security vendors, and major brands. It develops cooperative approaches to fighting online abuse, publishing best practices, position statements, and training materials, and provides technical guidance to governments and policy bodies working on Internet standards and legislation
M3AAWG meetings are the working sessions of the Messaging, Malware and Mobile Anti-Abuse Working Group, held three times a year. They bring together ISPs, email and cloud providers, security vendors, researchers, and government representatives to develop best practices against spam, malware, phishing, and other forms of online abuse.
