The Libyan Network Information Center (LNIC) is the official authority responsible for managing Libya’s internet domain system. Created in 2004, it operates under the supervision of the General Authority for Telecommunications and Informatics. LNIC handles the registration of domain names, the management of the DNS infrastructure, and the enforcement of domain-related policies. It primarily manages the .LY country code top-level domain, along with a few Arabic-script domains such as .مصراتة and .طرابلس, although these are less commonly used.
