Domain Names Tools and Solutions >> Expired Domains
Every day, more than a hundred thousand domain names, some of them of high quality, are not renewed by their owners and are said to have expired. From this date, a period called "grace period" begins - 30 days for gTLD and most ccTLD- during which it is possible to reactivate the domain name, sometimes at an additional cost. After this period, the domain name can no longer be renewed. It then enters a process, the duration and phases of which vary depending on whether it is a generic or geographical extension, and which ends with its deletion. It can then be registered again on a first-come, first-served basis.
Domainrecover.net offers a free monitoring service for a wide range of extensions.
Godaddy also offers this, but only for historical gTLDs or "legacy TLDs". Monitoring can also be done using software solutions such as WatchMyDomain (paid).
ExpiredDomains.net– Maintained by the German developer Marco Schmidt, the site offers a free, exhaustive and reliable service.
Domcop is a paid Indian service offering features similar to ExpiredDomains, with a slightly different layout and some additional data and features.
