An offshoot of the Australian discussion forum Sitepoint.com, Flippa is the leading marketplace for buying and selling websites, domain names and smartphone applications. Despite its leading position, Flippa has only a very small share of the market for buying and selling websites, which is highly fragmented.

Most sales on Flippa involve small independent websites. A fixed amount depending on the level of visibility required is charged for each listing, regardless of the outcome of the sale.
